Receptivity: Hold More

Since Repose came into my life two years ago, I have discovered the importance of being receptive. To me, receptivity means taking in whatever is not already a part of me, at least in my way of thinking. To honor the importance of receptivity in my life, I wrote this chant. The words are:

Hold more in your hands.
Hold more in your mind.
Hold more in your heart.
Hold more, hold more.

When you hold more,
You feel more,
Give more,
Love more,
​live more.

Receptivity expands us. So, the question is: How far can we be expanded? Try to imagine yourself in your most expanded state. What might that look and feel like? I'm not here to answer that question for you. Rather, I want to suggest that you try that experiment on yourself. See what happens when you hold more. This is not the same as holding onto more. It means drawing more of the world into your heart, your mind, your self. I look forward to hearing the results of this little experiment, if you choose to give it a go.
